ZURICH l MUMBAI, May 19, 2017: Tata Consultancy Services, a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, today announced that Swissport, the world’s largest provider of ground and cargo handling services in the aviation industry, has selected TCS for a major IT infrastructure and technology transformation initiative.
Swissport IT Transformation is aiming to standardize their global IT environment to increase leverage and quality of delivery to support providing best customer services to its clients. The partnership with TCS will see Swissport invest in an extensive improvement and enhancement of its technology infrastructure capabilities to ensure its core systems can support these objectives.
This major initiative includes the consolidation of Swissport’s data centers and remote location infrastructure, establishing a global user help desk and implementing a worldwide WAN transformation scheme. The work will also see a simplification and streamlining of enterprise workplace services, governance and IT security alongside support to ensure that the technology innovations provide the best environment for success.
As a business that operates in over 280 airports worldwide and transports 4.3 million tonnes of cargo annually, Swissport’s operations are highly complex. TCS’ depth and breadth of expertise, as well as its proven track record in IT Infrastructure and Transformation were major factors in Swissport’s decision for its strategic program.
