Each year The Orchid School brings in the annual celebration of Founder’s Day with the objective of getting students familiar with cultural traditions, and showcasing innovation in ideas and talent. During these days, students are exposed to various genres of art that add value to culture, honor wisdom and help make connections with real life. As art reflects society, TOS is continually engaged in working with change and the future.
This year, as tradition goes, we open the celebrations on the 5th of August with our Youngistaani Conclave – ‘ideas worth sharing’, where select students get to present a workable/ sustainable idea, with notable stalwarts in the area of innovation. Mr. Narayan Peesapaty of Bakey’s Edible Cutlery will deliver the opening keynote for this event. The evening opens with Neeraj Arya’s, Kabir Cafe, bringing alive poetic works of Kabir infused with rock, pop, reggae and fusion.

The 6th of August showcases our in house talent with students performing on the theme – ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinaha’ – an amalgamation of performing arts and the  idea of living a holistic life with a healthy body, mind and soul.

The 7th of August, marks the conclusion of the celebrations with the Sheejith Krishna led performance of ‘Don Quixote’ – by Sahrdaya Foundation. This music-dance-theatre ballet, is an adaptation of Miguel Cervantes’s early 17th century classic novel. As a pioneer of classical arts from the world renowned institute of  Kalakshetra Foundation, Sheejith is well known for transforming global audiences across barriers of culture and geography.
