SEAP gears up for ‘Pune Connect’ 2015

Pune, October 28: Pune Connect 2015, a popular annual event known as the ideal platform for start-ups to showcase their talent organized by the Software Exporters Association of Pune (SEAP) is all set to continue its tradition of showcasing some of the best innovations, products and technologies of Pune’s start-up companies.

Entering into the 5th year, the curtain raiser of Pune Connect 2015 was held at MCCIA ICC Trade Towers yesterday. The topic of the discussion at the curtain raiser was that of sharing views about possibility of transforming Pune into a Global destination for technology and innovation.

During the event, highlighting the agenda, titled as – “Pune Connect – Past, Present and Future”, Gaurav Mehra, Ex-President, SEAP, and an Investor by profession said, “This year, Pune Connect will be organised with collaborative effort of its ecosystem partners including NASSCOM, TiE, PuneTech, CIIE, SME Joinup, MCCIA, IACC, HIA and POCC. With its aim to provide a platform to young companies where they can get reach of investors, get guidance from established companies and take this opportunity to move further and introduce them to the corporate world.” He also stressed upon introducing such opportunities and giving a chance to start-up ideas at a large scale.

As a keynote speaker, B V Jagadeesh, Managing Partner, KAAJ Ventures, shared his experience on the topic titled as,“Secret Sauce of Silicon Valley – My first person account of the Ecosystem that produces innovation, technology and wealth.” While addressing the gathering he said, “It is the Eco-System that helps in raising the investor’s interest and bringing in new customers. And by generating these two key pillars we can have more numbers of Silicon Valley for India.”  He also added, “Crucial part of our eco-system is allowing investors and consumers to work hand in hand which will create and develop a proper system to grow and precede further hassle free.”

The popular, annual event Pune Connect 2015 showcases the innovations, unique ideas and services to large companies, attracts investor community and corporate users from various sectors like IT, automobile, engineering and bio-technology.
