30 religious teachers to join Army

Pune, May 26 – A batch of 30 Recruits as Religious Teachers (RTs) passed out of Institute of National Integration (INI) on 26 May 2018 in a colourful Passing Out Parade held at Pune. Brigadier Samir Salunke, Commandant of INI, reviewed the parade and awarded Naib Subedar (RT) Anand Kumar Tiwari and Naib Subedar (RT) Kaustubh Mishra who distinguished themselves in varied facets of training, with the General Officer Commanding in Chief, Army Training Command Gold Medal and INI Commandant’s Silver Medal respectively.

The Commandant congratulated all participants and their parents for completion of the gruelling pre commissioning training which included studying subjects related to National Integration, Behaviour & Social Science to include Yoga, Spiritualism, Psychological Counselling, Stress Management and thus not only perform assigned duties of a ‘Religious Teacher’ but also act as a Psychological Counselor and Mental Health mentors in the Units/Centres.

Brigadier Samir Salunke also reassured the audience about the resolve of INI to act as a primary think tank and true emissary of Indian Army towards stated goal of ‘Nation Building’ through ‘National Integration’ as summarised by INI’s logo ‘Unity in Diversity’, while continuously growing from strength to strength.
