Just give best collector award to Astik Kumar Pandey, Already!

Akola district collector Astik Kumar Pandey is always in the news for all the good reasons. Recently he was in news for his in the foot action against Axis bank on the issue of not granting crop loans to farmers on time. He has declared every 1st day of the month to be the Cycle Day, he also featured in one of the YouTube videos of the famous RJ Shweta to promote the idea. I mean, what can be cooler than this?
Considering his deeds for farmers and farming, he is popularly known as the ‘Farmer’s Collector.’ He was again the talk of the hour when he went on the field to help some farmers who were ploughing their fields. Pandey and Murtijapur’s legislator Harish Pimple were passing through Sonala village in Murtijapur taluka. The farmers were sowing seeds on their farm. So, Pandey and Pimple decided to join them. They did even click a selfie with the farmers.
Standing was the commoners rights, starting the positive initiative and making it look cool, hanging out with the masses, Pandey is really an awesome and a much-needed collector.
Pandey is an IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre. He hails from Gonda in Uttar Pradesh. His wife Mokshada Patil, IPS, is Superintendent of Police (SP) of Washim district.
