World’s largest contract maker of electronic products, Taiwan’s Foxconn company, who has clients like Apple, Xiaomi & Amazon to setup its unit in Talegaon Dabhade, Pune. The firm is expected to invest Rs 35,000 crores in Pune-Mumbai corridor.
The government of Maharashtra signed a 5 billion dollar MoU with Foxconn. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said that it will create about 50,000 jobs.
The CM said that the development is very significant as electronic import is expected to surpass crude oil import by 2030.
