CM distributes land allotment letters to 4599 forest-dwellers at Dharampur in Valsad

Ahmedabad, Sunday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel today distributed land allotment orders to 4599 forest-dwellers under Forest Right Act at Dharampur in Valsad district.

On the occasion Mrs. Patel also distributed Kiasn Credit Card to 1754 beneficiaries under Forest Right Act and said that these decisions will help tribal farmers to get ownership rights for their land will make revenue procedure trouble-free.

Addressing large gathering at S.M.S.M. high school in Dharampur, Mrs. Patel said that the state government has been actively working for all-round development of the tribal people and various schemes has been announced for the welfare of the people of tribal areas. Also, the government has developed infrastructural facilities in tribal areas to boost economic activities.

She stated that tribals were struggling for their rights for many decades, but for the first time after independence, the state government has given them their due rights and empowered them. Alongside, Mrs. Patel dedicated Kaprada Arts College built at the cost of Rs. 9.16 crore and bridge on Wagh River constructed at the cost of Rs. 9.05 crore.

Mrs. Patel also gave outline of the various initiatives and allocations in the budget for the tribal and rural development including state-wide free health screening and treatment campaign, cleanliness drive, MAA Annapurna Yojana, Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana, Doodh Sanjeevani Yojana, Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana, etc.

On the occasion Valsad MP Dr. K.C. Patel, District Panchayat President Mr. Jitendrabhai Tandel, MLAs Mr. Ishwarbhai Patel, Mr. Ramanbhai Patkar, Mr. Kanubhai Desai, District Collector Mr. Ravi Kumar Arora, DDO Mr. M.S.Sanghada and others were present.
