AIR MARSHAL PANKAJ ANEJA INAUGURATES SUB GUARD ROOM at 9 BRD
Air Marshal Pankaj Aneja Vishisht Seva Medal, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Maintenance Command, Indian Air Force, arrived on a two day visit to 9 Base Repair Depot (BRD), Pune on 09 May 2016.
In continuation to his visit at the Depot, the AOC-in-C inaugurated the newly constructed Sub Guard Room of 9 BRD on Pune – Nagar highway. He was briefed about the scope of the widening of project of Pune – Ahmednagar highway which involved the land of 9 BRD area. The inauguration of Sub Guard Room on Nagar highway marks the culmination of the ongoing work of PMC at 9 BRD, wherein all the affected assets were reconstructed, to cater for the expansion of Nagar Road as part of the JNNURM project. The expansion would ease the traffic congestion on Pune Nagar highway.
The Air Marshal also inspected the High Tech Laboratories and Modern Warehouses. He lauded the pioneering job being done by the BRD towards maintaining vital systems of the Indian Air Force which are critical for undertaking air and ground operations by the IAF during peace & war.
