Armed robbery at KFC, Jagtap Dairy Chowk

Three robbers looted Rs 70,542 after threatening employees with pistols around 2 am August 11 (Tuesday) at the fast food restaurant KFC located at Jagtap Dairy Chowk in Rahatani in Pimpri-Chinchwad. The whole incident has been recorded on CCTV cameras.

The place is close to Pimple Saudagar, Wakad and Dange Chowk.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Dr Basavraj Teli, under whose jurisdiction the area comes, said that after the restaurant got closed at 11 pm on Monday, the cleaning and account checking work was going on. There were three employees. Around 2 am, three persons came on a bike. While one of them remained seated on the bike, two persons came inside and looted cash after threatening with pistol and fled.

A case of robbery under the Indian Penal Code has been registered with Wakad police station.

Sleuths from the detection branch of the police station as well as Pune city police Crime Branch are searching the robbers with the help of CCTV footage.
