Army’s last open recruitment rally held in Aurangabad

The last open recruitment rally of the Indian Army is being held in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, from July 21 to August 6. Toeing the line of the Government’s “Digital India Policy”, the Army Recruitment Directorate has started its maiden online registration system.

The present format of recruitment rally was based on open system wherein any eligible candidate could participate thus having a major problem of crowd management in the region, which resulted in severe traffic congestion and law and order issues. But with the new system of online registration for recruitment the aspirants would be regulated over regular time interval thereby restricting the candidates as per the area of the rally site and having a systemised crowd management rally schedule.

Brigadier NK Khajuria, Deputy Director General , HQ Recruiting Maharashtra, Gujrat & Goa conveyed that the online procedure would commence earliest.

At the national level the online registration was inaugurated on 01 Jul 2015 and on the first day the site was visited with over 40000 clicks thus showing its popularity. Every year Maharashtra contributes about 5600 vacancies in the Indian Army.

Now aspirants can register for recruitment rally two months in advance and would get screening dates well in advance to facilitate the youth to prapare well.

Registration will close 15 days prior to commencement of rally. Correct time and date would remove any ambiguity in the aspirants minds thus ensuring transparent process ceasing the role of touts and middlemen.

The system will also enable better crowd management leading to better traffic and law and order issues.
