BANK OF INDIA CONFERRED WITH RAJBHASHA KIRTI PURUSKAR (2ND PRIZE)

Mumbai, September 18, 2017 : Bank has been awarded ‘Second Prize’ by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for the year 2016-17 under ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Puruskar’ scheme for commendable work in implementation of Rajbhasha amongst Public Sector Banks located in Region ‘B’. The award was given by the Hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind to MD & CEO Shri Dinabandhu Mohapatra during an award ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 14th September 2017. Hon’ble Union Minister for Home Affairs Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Hanraj Gangaram Ahir, and Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju were also present on the occasion.

This is the highest award given by the Govt. of India in the field of implementation of Official Language. Bank of India is doing commendable work in Banking Sector and also contributing towards implementation of Rajbhasha Hindi
