Beti Bachao Beti Padhao poetry recitation held
UDHAMPUR, APRIL 07- Government College for Women Udhampur (NSS Unit) organized a Poetry Recitation Competition on the topic “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” in the college premises, today.
The programme started with the lighting of traditional lamp by the Principal of the college, Prof. K.S Koushal.
20 students from different streams of the college participated in the poetry recitation competition.
Prof Koushal exhorted upon the crucial role of females in the society as well as their education. He also focused on the importance of self enlightenment and self awareness on the part of women.
Ms Deepika, Ms Rakhi, Ms. Shakti stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the competition.
