Punekar News's photo.Pune November 26: City’s very own percussionist Jaywant Utpat has invented world’s first electronic percussion synthesizer known as ‘Jaysonic’. Jaywant Utpat will be playing solo on his newly invented instrument on coming Sunday, November 29th at M. E. S. Balshikshan Auditorium, located in Mayur Colony, Pune from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. The program is free and open for all.

Disciple of world famous Tabla player, late Ustad Alla Rakha, Jaywant has accompanied some of the most renowned names of the Indian music industry like Pandit Jasraj, Shankar Mahadevan, Suresh Wadkar, Pankaj Udhas, Talat Aziz and many more. The artist has carved out a niche for himself with this technical device that can produce the sounds of authentic Tabla, Dholak, Dafli and several other instruments at a time.

‘Jaysonic’, a device with versatile and unified e-percussion platform, can authentically replicate a wide variety of Indian percussion instruments in their full traditional nuance and fidelity. Having a major role in creating and contributing in the field of music Jaywant has changed the status of Handsonic from a basic percussion to a solo concert instrument.
