CM Shri Chouhan congratulates elderly mason Dilip Singh Malviya

Other members of society will also be inspired by his gesture

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has sent a letter of citations to elderly mason of village Bhojapura in Ichhawar tahasil of Sehore district Shri Dilip Singh Malviya for constructing toilets without accepting wages. It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modhi in ‘Man Ki Baat’ had lauded Shri Dilip Singh describing his gesture as holy and unique.

In the congratulatory letter, the Chief Minister said that voluntary contribution of Shri Dilip Singh Malviya to Swachchhata Abhiyan has proved that new records of social change can be achieved if government and society join hands. He hoped that other members of society with passion of development will also be inspired by initiative of Shri Dilip Singh Malviya.

Shri Dilip Singh Malviya lives at village Bhojpura under Mohanpur Lendi Gram Panchayat of Ichhawar tahasil in Sehore district. Shri Dilip Singh Malviya, 75, took initiative to realize dream of Swachchh Madhya Pradesh. Due to his efforts, practice of open-area defecation has ended in the village.

Shri Dilip Singh Malviya motivated people of the village for construction of toilets and himself constructed over 27 toilets. Along with his Gram Panchayat, he constructed over 100 toilets in adjoining Gram Panchayats in few months. Remarkably, he did not take wages for constructing toilets in his own villages. Shri Dilip Singh Malviya said that he would continue to cooperate in Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan and development of the village.

Budhni block to be free of open-area defecation

It is noteworthy that under guidance of District Collector Dr. Sudam Khade and due to efforts of Zila Panchayat CEO Dr. Ramrao Bhosle, Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan has assumed proportion of a movement in Sehore district. Budhni development block of the district is going to be free of open-area defecation soon. Meanwhile, works under Swachchhata Abhiyan are also underway on a war-footing in Nasrullaganj and other development blocks of the district.
