Communication among parents-kids crucial to curb Child abuse- Payal Karwa
PUNE- Child Abuse is a cruel social menace inflicted on the tender minds. Being alert and aware is an important thread to lower the child sexual abuse (CSA). Educating young minds about “Good Touch -Bad Touch” and suggesting ways of dealing with it is very crucial. Open communication among kids & parents is very important, said celebrated Author PayalKarwa.
She was speaking at the ‘Exuberanza’ carnival organized by Gyan Ganga International School today. It was inaugurated at the hands of noted lawyer Adv.SK Mishra & sports medicine physician Shridhar Chiplunkar. Also present on the occasion were Founder of GGIS Jaiprakashji Goel, Managing Trustee GGISSonu Gupta, Principal Bharti Bhagwani, noted Realtor Atul Goel. The carnival saw participation of more than 4 thousand students from various schools with their parents.
The school had invited several experts from various fields who shared their experience and guided students on various topics. Noted stylist Rashika Wakalkar spoke on importance to good dressing, author Mehul Darooka guided students on Creative writing , Chetan Vohra had an interactive session on story-telling, Col Prabir Sengupta spoke on “soch bodlo duniya badlegi “ while sports physiotherapist PVK Raman enlightened parents on how to improve concentration & correct age to exercise. A lively session on drumming by ‘TAAL’ enthralled the audience. Dr. Deshpande spoke on women hygiene, Maverick Transformation workshop on career counseling, SAT/Act work for students.
The Gyan Ganga International school students had put up dedicated stalls which showed live demo on how to create compost pit & make news paper bags, candle making, artefacts by paper quelling, calligraphy, pattern making of Bandhni and Natural fabric block printing, bamboo dance, pot decoration, bag out of old T-shirts, fan making etc. Students also made interesting presentations on Fun with maths, scientific toys in association with IUCA.
