CR workshops gear up to fight against COVID19

31 March 2020, Pune- In order to prevent the spread of COVID19, Central Railway is making an all-out effort to supplement the health care efforts. This include equipping the existing Railway Hospitals to meet the COVID needs, earmarking of hospital beds to meet the contingencies, modification of passenger coaches as isolation coaches, etc. Workshops at Parel and Matunga have also pitched in their might in this effort.

 

Workshop Parel:

·         450 nos. masks stitched till date.

·         140 liters hand sanitizer prepared in NABL accredited CMT lab.

 

Workshop Matunga:

·         200 Scrub suits (Apron) for the hospital staff have been arranged and handed over to Railway Hospital Byculla.

·         10 stretchers have been fabricated to cater to the requirement of patients in Railway Hospital.

·         2080 nos. masks stitched till date.

·         235 liters hand sanitizer prepared.

 

Conversion of ICF coaches into isolation facility has commenced in both the shops. This is being done as per guideline by Railway Board.
