Dnyansagar Institute of Management Research (DIMR) embarks on a massive book donation drive for a social cause
Dnyansagar Institute of Management Research (DIMR) recently participated in a drive to set up an educational library for Samparc Bal Asha Ghar located near Nandgaon village, Lonavala. The drive was to collect maximum number of books for the purpose of donating those to an orphanage Samparc Bal Asha Ghar near village Nandgaon, Lonavala to help them set up an educational library for the kids. Samparc Bal Asha Ghar is a home to more than 50 orphan kids, from all age groups, studying in primary and secondary standards at nearby Z.P. Schools. The drive was aimed to collect the books and visit the orphanage on the occasion of Holi to donate the books and celebrate Holi along with the kids.
The students of DIMR spearheaded the campaign to be a part of this good cause and took efforts to collect the textbooks, story books, educational CD’s, Toys, stationary etc. from the areas of Baner, Pashan, Balewadi, Pimple Gurav, Pimple Saudagar etc. They collected around 700-800 books. The students visited the orphanage on Thursday, 24th March 2016,on an occasion of Holi and celebrated the Holi in a unique way by spreading the colours of Happiness, Love, Affection & Compassion.
