Dubai-based Emaar company to set up ‘Food Corridors’ in Maharashtra’s agricultural industrial sector

Mumbai, 4 Sep19: The cooperation agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for the establishment of India-UAE Food Corridor between the Industry Department of Maharashtra Government and Emaar Company of Dubai.

The agreement was done in a meeting held at Sahyadri Guest House, today. Minister for Industries and Mining, Subhash Desai, Minister for Industries for state, Atul Sawe, Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister Bhushan Gagrani, Industries Secretary Harshadeep Kamble, MIDC Chief Executive Officer P. Ambalgan, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar, Hadi Badri, Chief from India Gaurav Wadhwa, Gopal Sarma were present in the meeting.

“These investments will provide employment opportunities. It will also encourage the expansion of agricultural industrial technology sector” said Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis.

According to the agreement, the Emaar Company will invest in agriculture, agro-processing industry and fruits production. Chief Minister welcomed Emaar’s interest in the industrial sector of Maharashtra and expressed satisfaction on this agreement, on this occasion.
