Exhaustive inquiry will be made on Dongari mishap, Rescue and relief operation first priority: – CM Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai. 16th July 2019: An exhaustive inquiry will be made regarding building crash in Dongari. First preference is given to rescue and relief operation at the accident place. All systems have been alerted and active, told CM Devendra Fadnavis.

Shri. Fadnavis reviewed the mishap situation, in the cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya. Then he spoke to the media.
CM said, it was a hundred years old building and was declared an unsafe building. Its renovation responsibility was given to a developer. Inquiry will be made why the work was delayed. 15 families live there. Hence preference is given to reach to the victims and speed up rescue and relief operation. NDRF and municipality outfits have reached to the site of accident.
Maharashtra Housing Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil has reached the sight of accident. Medical Education Minister is on alert to provide necessary medical facilities. CM Shri. Fadnavis appealed to avoid crowding and to cooperate rescue teams as the sight of accident is a cramped and narrow area.
He also told that an inquiry will be made and other necessary decisions will be taken after the rescue and relief operation.
