Pune, December 28 – There is a good news for Punekars as Pune police has decided to extend hotel and permit room timing till 5 am on the new year eve.
Also if there is too much crowd then FC road, MG road, KP North. Main road, Chandani chowk may be declared no-vehicle zone on the night of December 31.
Police officials said that security level will be increased with 28 checking points.
People are requested not to drink and drive. This time Pune traffic police will put up mangled vehicles at prominent chowks to strike a fear in minds of people about driving under influence of alcohol.
Strict action will be taken against those violating traffic rules. CCTVs have been installed at major locations and with the help of footage over 7,000 people were fined.
