We often make an assumption that road side food is unhealthy and unhygienic but the time has changed and these food truck owners will definitely change your perception about roadside food. They are not just an expert in what they do but also they have this zest of serving the best quality food.
Henny Mirchandani owner of Henny’s Gourmet in Wanowrie has been travelling to different countries and worked earlier in Africa. He mentioned “it came into my dream to open a food truck, I feel contented when customers like my waffles, I believed in my idea and when it works out, it is the joy”. The food truck is famous for their mouthwatering waffles and Henny’s Gourmet is the only food truck in Pune to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Burgertron food truck in Wanowrie & Baner is run by three partners Mihir Rajurkar, Sheena and Zubair Nargund. Zubair worked in London and as well as for Oberoi Hotels, Dubai as a chef. He said “I always desired to be my own boss and work as an entrepreneur; I hold passion for cooking it gives me joy to serve my customers the food they like”. Burgertron is famous for their delicious crab burger and BBQ chicken burger.
Boston food truck in Wakad is own by Anand. Yes, as you think the name of the food truck is on Boston University, US. Anand has studied in Boston University and he even owned a food truck in US. Anand said “I liked the concept of food trucks back in US and wanted to open one in my country, I have designed my food truck on my own like equipment, interior etc”. This food truck serves thin crust Pizza, Pasta and burgers.
Rashi Majithia & Pratik Shetty owner of L’dorado food truck in Baner had worked for Taj Hotel Group and started their own food truck. Rashi said “when I thought of starting something on my own the food truck was the best option. It was economical, doesn’t need a lot of capital and people liked the concept of it”. Rashi’s aspiration was to convert junk food into home-made food, they serve the fresh chicken and make barbeque sauce, teriyaki sauce at home. Their exceptional and must try dish is Disco Fries.
