Foot Bridge connecting Mini Sea Shore and Sagar Vihar in Vashi will be removed in stipulated time limit- Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis

Mumbai, June 25: The Foot Bridge connecting Mini Sea Shore and Sagar Vihar of Vashi in Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation will be removed in a stipulated time period and directions to this effect have been issued to the concerned municipal corporation, Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis informed the Legislative Assembly Tuesday.

The said foot bridge connecting Mini Sea Shore and Sagar Vihar in Sector 10 M of Vashi in Navi Mumbai collapsed. Fadanvis was replying to a question raised by Member Mandatai Mhatre about the bridge.

Fadanvis said that following the closure of this bridge, alternate arrangements were planned to divert the traffic and parking is not allowed on the alternative road made available. Bus service is increased on that road. Action is being taken to allow business rounds limited to that road, CM Fadanvis said.

Replying to a supplementary MoS Urban Development Yogesh Sagar said that in this case a sub-engineer and junior engineer in the municipal corporation establishment were suspended. Action in respect of departmental enquiry of the officers is going on. The work order for repairs of the said bridge has been issued to the contractor and FIR has been registered in this incident, Sagar said.
