Foreigner caught with cocaine worth Rs 2.5 crores at Mumbai Airport

Mumbai – On Saturday, at about 10.40 am, during Pre-Embarkation Security Check (PESC) at Security Hold Area (SHA) of Terminal-2, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, CISF personnel noticed some doubtful image of boxes inside a bag of a foreign passenger.

The said foreign passenger was asked to open the bag for thorough physical checking. During thorough checking of his bag, 457 gms cocaine (in the form of capsules) worth approximately Rs 2.5 Crore concealed in plastic talcum powder boxes filled with powder was found. Senior Officers of CISF & Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) were informed.

The said foreign passenger was identified as Mr. Ferreia Nascimen (Brazil National), arrived from Addis Ababa by ET-610 (STA-0730 hrs) and further, bound for Delhi by flight No.AI-677 (STD-1340 hrs).

Mr. Ferreia Nascimen along-with seized narcotics drugs (worth approximately Rs.2.5 crore) was handed over to NCB officials for further necessary action.
