GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING-IN-CHIEF SOUTHERN COMMAND MESSAGE
On the occasion of the 66th Anniversary of our Republic, we in Southern Command pledge our unconditional allegiance to the Indian Constitution. This occasion commands the respect of every Indian.
Our National narrative is shaped by the triumphs of our past and our resolve to own the future by harnessing our boundless potential. We reaffirm our commitment to steadfastly standby and celebrate the cherished values of our great democracy by advocating and practicing secularism, tolerance and promoting goodwill amongst the rank and file of Southern Command.
Southern Command’s strength, confidence and determination to excel under all circumstances is beyond reproach. The past year has seen us honing our professional skills and consolidating our operational capabilities through intense and integrated training. We have provided unflinching support to the civil administration by providing timely aid during natural calamities. Southern Command is prepared for challenges in all dimensions during peace, while continuing to make significant strides in the realms of conventional operations.
Towards the welfare and well being of our fraternity, we shall continue to endeavor for improving habitat, infrastructure, health and education facilities. All of us must strive for probity, ethics and rich social values.
We pay homage to our brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice protecting our beloved Motherland.
