GoAir appoints Praveen Iyer as Chief Commercial Officer

PUNE, 21 February 2020: GoAir, Asia’s most trusted, punctual and fastest growing airline today appointed Praveen Iyer as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Praveen – whose career spans over two decades in revenue, growth and business strategy – will report to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vinay Dube. He will be responsible for commercial strategy, revenue, sales and network planning among others.

Praveen has worked for 14 years with Jet Airways before he moved on to VFS Global as Chief Operating Officer. In his career at Jet Airways, Praveen was responsible for Planning, Distribution, Pricing, Revenue Management, Ancillary and Sales. He has also led teams in developing new market segmentation, implementing new customer acquisition strategies and forming global alliances and partnerships.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Vinay Dube, Chief Executive Officer, GoAir said: “I welcome Praveen to the ever growing GoAir family. His strong domain knowledge and deep expertise in formulating commercial strategy and driving revenue, sales and network planning will play a key role in GoAir’s next phase of growth and overall profitability.”

Praveen has a PGDBA in Finance & Marketing from SIES College of Management Studies, Mumbai and Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University.

GoAir is the aviation foray of 283-year-old Wadia Group that comprises leading brands including 156-year-old Bombay Burmah, 140-year-old Bombay Dyeing, 101-year-old Britannia Ltd., 65-year-old National Peroxide Limited, a decade old Bombay Realty and many others.

GoAir currently operates 325+ daily flights and the airline has carried 80 million passengers since its inception in 2005. GoAir flies to 35 destinations that include 27 domestic destinations namely Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Kannur, Leh, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Ranchi, Srinagar, Varanasi and 8 international destinations namely Phuket, Male, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bangkok, Kuwait and Dammam.
