HDFC Bank to open 25 branches in Pune district in 2 years

Pune (Maharashtra), November 21, 2019: HDFC Bank Ltd. today reached an important #milestone of 100 branches in Pune District. This is a metro branch located at #Salisbury in Pune city.

The branch was inaugurated by Mr Rakesh Kumar Relan, Head, Branch Banking – West along with Mr Amol Bitkar – Circle Head, HDFC Bank and other senior officials of the bank. The 100th branch is located at HDFC Bank Ltd, Ground Floor, Shop no 1 (Part), Gera Grand Society. Sub Plot no. 7, T.P No 438, TPS III, Salisbury Park, Pune – 411037.

The new branch will cater to the local population in and around the residential neighbourhood as well as the rest of the city, giving them access to the full range of HDFC Bank’s products and services.

The Bank plans to open 20 to 25 more branches in the next 18 to 24 months in the district.

HDFC Bank has rapidly expanded its branch network in Pune on its journey to this milestone. This began with its very first branch in the city, which was set up at Bhandarkar Road in 1996. Since then, HDFC Bank is reaching out to an increasing number of people across the city. It has also leveraged technology to provide banking services through multiple digital channels such as netbanking and mobile banking. HDFC Bank has focused on reaching out to the large #unbanked segments and help contribute towards economic development, and employment generation for the people.

At a national level, HDFC Bank has 52% of its branches in semi-urban and rural areas and is continuously extending its reach in the hinterland in its endeavour to support inclusive growth. As of September 30, 2019, the Bank had a distribution network with 5,314 branches and 13,514 ATMs in 2,768 cities/towns.
