Honda riders all set for Asia Road Racing Championship finale

Buriram, Thailand, November 29, 2018: Establishing a new motorsports trend in India, the solo Indian team– ‘IDEMITSU Honda Racing India’ by T Pro Ten10 is once again ready to showcase its mettle in the final round of FIM Asia Road Racing Championship this weekend at the Chang International Circuit, Thailand.

Showcasing their skills in the last 5 rounds of ARRC 2018 season, the ‘IDEMITSU Honda Racing India’ team’ ready for the final round of ARRC in Thailand.

Keeping a steady performance, Japanese team-mate, Taiga Hada (#23) will be a tough competition for his opponents in the SuperSport 600cc (SS 600) class. Both the Indian riders – Rajiv Sethu (#80) and Anish Shetty (#81) will compete in the Asia Production 250cc (AP250) class.

Commenting on the expectations from the final round, Mr. Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President, Brand and Communications, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “The final round will be full of expectations and pressure for all the riders. This season gave an authentic international exposure to our Indian riders at Asia’s toughest motorsports racing. With all the learning & experience this year, both Indian riders would be looking for improving their position in AP 250 class while Taiga Hada would be fighting for a podium in the finale of this season in SS 600 class. This season has given us a lot of learnings and we will be working on the weak points to be back stronger to compete in this premium championship.”

 

The 17-year-old rider Senthil Kumar along with Rajiv Sethu will also be putting up their best efforts in the concluding round of Honda’s Asian rider development platform – Honda Thai Talent Cup at Chang International circuit in Buriram on NSF 250 machine.

SuperSports 600cc

In debut year, the team has made its mark at the international level in SuperSports 600cc and stands at 7th position so far.

Heading towards the final round of 2018 season, the 19-year-old Japanese rider –  Taiga Hada holds a total of 72 points with 2 podium wins. The rider ranks 9th in the championship so far.

Asia Production 250cc

With 23 teams competing in the Asia Production 250 grid, the solo Indian team currently holds 15th position.

Making their way in the AP 250 class, the Indian duo of Rajiv Sethu and Anish Shetty are at 27th and 28th position after round 5.

About 2018 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC):

In its 23rd year, the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship is Asia’s most competitive motorcycle road racing championship since 1996.

After a vigorous series of 5 Rounds at Thailand, Australia, Japan, India & Indonesia, round 6 (final round) of ARRC will be concluded at Chang International Circuit in Thailand.  As many as 74 riders from 8 countries (Australia, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Republic of South Africa and India) are battling for glory in the 3 classes of the championship – SuperSport 600cc, Asia Production 250cc and Underbone 150cc.
