Adelaide – India beat Australia by 31 runs on the fifth day of the first test match in Adelaide, Australia. The Indian team won the match by 31 runs and took 1-0 lead in the four matches series of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon kept Australia fighting with the final wicket before R Ashwin got the wicket of Hazlewood and India won the match. Australia were bowled out for 291.
