INDIAN ARMY TROOPS CARRY OUT FLOOD RELIEF IN GUJRAT
On being called for assistance by the district administration, Army troops of Southern Command geared with flood relief equipment immediately swung into action and moved to affected spots in Northern Gujrat on 29 July. 
A total of 25 teams so far have been put into action and they have along with NDRF personnel rescued a total 60 people in extreme distress from villages Khudam in Banaskantha and Susui in Surinder Nagar on 29 July in early part of the night. Rescued victims were terrified and unsure till such time the assistance reached due to the efforts of District authorities and the Indian Army.
