Indian taxi driver refuses to take money from Pakistani cricketers, they invite him for dinner

Brisbane, Australia, November 26, 2019: Pakistan faced an embarrassing innings defeat in the first match of the Test series being played in Australia. The Pakistan team, touring Australia, played the first match in Brisbane.

Pakistan players Shaheen Shah Afridi, Yasir Shah and Naseem Shah travelled in an Indian taxi driver’s taxi in Brisbane after which the driver refused to take the fare money. This was told by Alison Mitchell, an Australian radio presenter.

Mitchell said that he came to know about the incident from the cab driver who narrated the anecdote to him during a visit to the Gaba Stadium in Brisbane. The first Test between Pakistan and Australia was played in Brisbane. During the journey, the taxi driver told that he left some Pakistan cricketers for dinner at an Indian restaurant from the hotel and did not take money in return.

The amazing thing is that when the Indian driver refused to take the money from the players of Pakistan, they took him to have dinner with them in return.

On Sunday, Pakistan’s team faced an innings and 5 runs defeat in the match played against Australia. On the fourth day of the match, the entire team of Pakistan was able to score 335 runs in the second innings. Pakistani batsmen scored just 240 runs in the first innings.

Australia had scored 580 runs in the first inning to take a 340-run lead over Pakistan. In the second inning, Babar Azam scored 104 runs for Pakistan while wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan scored 97 runs.
