Intercollegiate Book Review Competition Report
Alumni Association of M. C. E. Society’s M. A. Rangoonwala Institute of Hotel Management & Research organized an Intercollegiate Book Review Competition, on 14th February 2017 at Hi-tech Hall, Azam Campus, Pune.
The competition was judged by Dr Preetam Jain, Assistant Professor, M.C.E. Society’s, A.K.K. New Law Academy & Ph. D. (Law) Research Centre, Dr Snehal Kulkarni, Associate Professor, M.C.E. Society’s, Abeda Inamdar Senior College of Arts, Science & Commerce and Ms Bhavna Shankar, Learning & Development Manager, Vivanta by Taj Blue Diamond, Pune.
Students from various colleges in Pune namely D. Y. Patil Institute of Management Studies, Akurdi, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Pune, Kohinoor International Management Institute, Khandala Allana College of Pharmacy, Allana Institute of Management Sciences, M. C. E. Society’s Institute of Pharmacy participated in the event. The winners were awarded trophies and certificate at the hands of the chief guest Dr. Ronika Agrawal, Principal of M. A. Rangoonwala College of Physiotherapy and Research.
The winner’s trophy was bagged by Swati Suman (Dr. D.Y Patil Institute of Management Studies), 1st Runner up was Fatimah Mujawar (Allana College of Pharmacy) and
2nd Runner up, Sanober Mir (M. A. Rangoonwala Institute of Hotel Management & Research).
It was first of its kind event in the Hospitality fraternity. Principal Prof. Anita Frantz initiated the activity to encourage the students to get into the habit of reading informative and recreational books.
The Alumni Association of M. A. Rangoonwala Institute of Hotel Management & Research executed the event under the guidance of the librarian Mrs Chanda Supekar.
