Investigation into Pathankot Attack

A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) from Pakistan visited India from 27.03.2016 to 01.04.2016. The objective of the visit was to share information on our investigation into the Pathankot Air Base Attack, obtain a brief from the JIT on Pakistan’s investigations and to discuss follow up actions. The interaction with JIT was held in accordance with Terms of Reference mutually agreed on the basis of reciprocity and extant legal provisions. The Pakistan JIT was informed that a team of NIA officials would like to visit Pakistan to carry forward the investigation in the Pathankot airbase attack. It does not seem feasible to indicate any time line at this stage for completion of the investigation in this case.
