Jamiat Ulema-Hind hands over homes to flood affected people in Pune

Pune, December 12, 2019: Jamiat Ulema-Hind (JuH) Pune district unit has handed over homes to 12 families who were among the worst affected victims of flash floods that wrecked havoc in few parts in Pune on September 25, 2019.

These houses were distributed in Ambedkar Vasahat, Parvati, last week.The keys of houses were handed over in the presence of Juh-Maharashtra state president Nadeem Siddiqui, JuH Pune city president Mufti Shahid Qasmi deputy mayor Saraswati Shendge and other JuH-M leaders and activistsof Pune unit.Speaking on the occasion, JuH Pune city president Qasmi said, “JuH-M has always been active in social work.

JuH is known for its role in freedom movement. JuH-M has always helped people in need irrespective of their religion or caste and will continue to do so. Among these 12 beneficiaries, nine are from Hindu community. All the beneficiaries are daily wage labourers who needed assistance in again starting their life journey.

“The JuH activists had also participated in rescue and relief material distribution work among flood affected people in Kolhapur, Solapur and Sangli districts.
