K Raheja Corp brings cricket fever to Pune with VIVA Cup

Pune, 11th January 2019: In a cricket frenzy nation, a rendition of the game comes to Pune City with the VIVA Cup at Raheja Viva, a residential dwelling nestled in Pirangut. The tournament, which flagged off on January 5th, sees K Raheja Corp bringing 16 teams together to battle it out in a game of skill and talent over weekends, for the prestigious VIVA Cup, the finale of which will be hosted on January 27th. Raheja Viva’s exclusive offering of a cricket ground made the tournament a perfect initiative to engage with the local populace and with Maharashtra Veteran Cricket Association’s partnership adding to the scale and credibility of the event. Moreover, former Indian Cricketer and Chief National Selector, Shri Kiran More will be encouraging the teams and presenting the winners with the much prized trophies.

 

 

With teams comprising some of the best from the IT Companies of Pune, the congregation will include families and colleagues cheering for their favourite players. An idyllic location environed by Sahyadri Hills, a massive cricket pitch in the centre of 77 acres of green expanse, and the best teams brought together by the Maharashtra Veteran Cricket Association, makes this an ideal competition for cricket lovers in Pune.

 

 

The prestigious VIVA Cup, a tennis ball tournament with limited overs and scheduled group matches, will see the contenders competing for the top spots, and eventually face off in the finals. The qualified umpires and live commentary ensures fair play and truly gives the tournament a professional touch.  With several corporate teams coming forward some of the teams fighting it out are Ericsson India Pvt Ltd, Lupin Ltd and IBM Emptoris Ltd to name a few.
