Maharashtra Police Recruitment 2019 : Vacancies for 3450 constable posts

Pune, September 4, 2019 : Maharashtra Police has invited applications for the post of 3450 constables at various police commissionerates and districts. Eligible candidates can apply online on or before 23 September 2019.

 

Education Qualification : HSC for police constables in units and SSC for bands team

 

Age : Minimum 18 years, Maximum – 28 years (Relaxation applicable for candidates from different caste categories)

Maharashtra Police is the law enforcement agency responsible for the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is headed by Director General of Police and headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is one of the largest police departments in the country, having about 35 district police units in the state.

Maharashtra, the third largest State in Republic of India, has one of the largest police forces in the country. Besides 250 Indian Police Service officers borne on the State Cadre, it consists of 277 Superintendents of Police, 652 Deputy Superintendents of Police, 3530 Inspectors, 4530 Assistant Police Inspectors, 7601 Sub Inspectors and 1,84,745 men (members of constabulary).

Maharashtra, a highly industrialized State with large urban conglomerates, has adopted Commissionerates system for policing its large cities. The State has 11 Commissionerates and 36 district police units.
