Maheshwari community celebrated Gowardhan Pujan and Annakot festival on the occasion of Diwali

7 November 2019, Pune: On the occassion of Diwali, Maheshwari Charitable Foundation celebrated get together, Govardhan Pujan and Annakot festival. To rescue people lord krishna come forward and lift the Govardhan mountain on a finger tip. To worship Krishna Govardhan Pujan gets done and the 56 Bhog which contains 56 different kind of sweets gets devoted. In this festival approximately 4000 pilgrims from maheshwari community and other community across pune district and around the city participated. This year the Festival gets affected by the prolonged rainfall. In spite of that the excitement of people was not less.

This program took place in Mahesh Sanskrutik Bhavan, Kondhava. On this occasion Dhanraj Rathi, President of Maheshwari Charitable Foundation, Sanjay Chandak Secretary, Shreeprakash Bagadi, Treasurer, Hiraman Malu, Adviser, Sanjay Bihani, Balaprasad Bajaj, Rajendra Bhattad, Madanlal Bhutada, Hari Bhutada, Shamsundar Kalantri, Dilip Dhut, Santosh Laddha, Vijayraj Mundada, Bhanvarlal Pungliya, Ashok Rathi, Mahesh Somani, Rambilas Tapdiya and other officials and dignitaries were present.

Sanjay Chandak said, “On the Memory of Giridhar Gopal lord krishna the Annakot Festival is gets celebrated. Every Year people of Maheshwari come together to celebrate Diwali and Annakot Festival. Maheshwari Charitable trust help the community people which comes to Pune. Maheshwari Charitable Foundation has landed a sanatorium, guesthouse and multipurpose project with modern facilities in Mukundnagar, central of the city, to facilitate the outskirts community in Pune for the treatment and other activities. All the facility soon get available publicaly.”
