Manila | Mumbai – July 28, 2016: Tata Consultancy Services (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), the leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, today announced that its client Manila Water Company has received prestigious industry recognition for an Enterprise Asset Management—Asset Management Information System (EAM-AMIS) project delivered by TCS. CIO Asia recognized Manila Water and the EAM-AMIS with the coveted “Transformation Award” at its annual CIO Asia Awards, which was followed soon thereafter by CIO.com naming Manila Water and the project as a “2016 CIO 100” winner.

The Manila Water – TCS partnership began when fast-growing Manila Water engaged TCS to help create an IT strategy roadmap and information system plan to support progress and enable it to align operations with global best practices in the utility industry. TCS collaborated with one of its partners, SAP, to supplement the IT strategy.  The EAM- AMIS project is part of a 5-year strategic IT plan Manila Water has developed with TCS aimed at improving asset management and transforming infrastructure to align with its corporate strategy.

“Working with TCS paved the way for us to provide innovative solutions and technological advancements to our customers while achieving operational efficiencies and productivity” said Rodell Garcia, Chief Technology Officer of Manila Water. “We are very proud to have won these prestigious awards, as it is very special to us as a Filipino-owned company to join the ranks of MIT, NASA, Intel and UNICEF in the Top 100 list”.

“The EAM-AMIS resulted in improved operational reliability, optimized power consumption, increased manpower productivity, and traceable regulatory compliance to bring about significant changes and development in customer service, business process, operational efficiency and technology implementation,” Garcia added.

“It’s a great honor to see our key business partner Manila Water receive this outstanding recognition for projects TCS has been a major part of, said Vikram Singh, Country Manager, TCS Philippines. TCS is proud to have provided Manila Water with an award-winning solution that meets core business requirements, streamlined IT operations, enabled a governance mechanism, and importantly, has created a transformation roadmap for future business growth”

Continued Singh: “True to our promise, TCS delivered results, partnership and leadership by having the foresight and expertise to ensure our clients’ success. As an example of the work done with Manila Water, TCS’ goal is to transform Philippine companies to be able to provide world-class service to their customers”
