MECHANISED INFANTRY REGIMENTAL CENTRE- AHMEDNAGAR
Mechanised Infantry Regimental Centre (MIRC) is a premier training establishment of the Indian Army located at Ahmednagar. The MIRC is the cradle where all energies are focused on ‘Making a Soldier’ which entails training of a recruit to become a brave and fearless soldier in the Mechanised Infantry Regiment of the Indian Army.
Mechanised Infantry Regimental Centre was established in 1979 and it spread over 2000 Acres. This elite training establishment trains approx 950 recruits annually and is richly endowed with all possible training infrastructure required for converting a civilian in to a fully trained soldier.
The Centre has adequate training facilities coupled with instructors having sound knowledge and experience. With the Commandant’s vision to develop confident, mentally tough and robust soldiers, the modern infrastructure available in the Centre are put to its optimum utilisation.
The Centre also focuses on various sports and adventure activities. Individuals posted have participated in Paragliding, Trek at Kalsubai, Adventure Challenge Cup, Archery and Shooting.
The Centre is committed for the task mandated by the Nation in General and Indian Army in particular by training its soldiers to fight and win in all conditions of War/hostile activities. Its Officers and men have participated in all kinds of operation. We have also produced sportsmen who have won accolades in national and International events.
All individuals associated with the Centre including families have been given ample opportunities to enhance their skills and nurture their respective dreams.
