‘Musings of A Medicine Man’ – story of a transformation from ordinary to extra ordinary – Dr. S. B. Mujumdar

Pune, June 29: “This is a story of an ordinary person who transformed himself into an extra ordinary one”, said chief guest Padma Bhushan, Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Founder & President of Symbiosis. He was speaking at the book launch of ‘Musings of A Medicine Man’ – a story about the life and learnings of Arun Khanna held recently in city.  The book has been penned by Sudha Menon, known for her ‘slice of life’ style of writing.

Mr. Arun Khanna is the Chairman & Managing Director of Uth Healthcare Ltd- a pharmaceutical marketing company. In his pharma career spanning four decades, he is recognized for his keen marketing mind and ‘out of the box’ customer engagement.

Present at the occasion of the book launch were Dr. R P Soonawala- renowned gynaecologist, Dr. K H Sancheti- orthopaedician & founder of Sancheti Hospital, Dr. S. M. Hardikar- orthopaedician & founder of Hardikar Hospital, Dr. Kamala Selvaraj- Sr. Gynaecologist & Chairman of GG Hospitals, Chennai, Dr. D S Rana- nephrologist & Chairman Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, friends and well-wishers of the Khanna family from Pune and across the country.

Sharing his observation about Arun Khanna, Dr K H Sancheti said, “Arun’s hardwork and ability to form and nourish relationships sets him apart from the others”. Other guests present also shared anecdotes about Arun Khanna making it a very relaxed and informal book launch.

“I am thankful to my family, friends, my team, colleagues and critics alike, without whom I would not have been the person that I have become today. My achievements and this book is dedicated to them all.” Said Arun Khanna, thanking the guests.

The story is of a simple boy from a small town who rose from the position of a teller in a bank to the highest echelons of pharma industry.
