Mysuru, December 24, 2015: N RangaRao and Sons, makers of Cycle Pure Agarbathies, recently received re-certification as a carbon neutral manufacturer fromUK-based The CarbonNeutral Company – the leading provider of carbon reduction solutions in the World. This is the second consecutive year N. Ranga Rao and Sons hasbeen recognized for its commitment towards green business practices. The distinction makes N. Ranga Rao and Sons the world’s first incense stick manufacturer to receive this recognition.The certification entitles the company to use carbon neutral symbol in all its products representing the quality and sustainable development the company fosters.
Commenting on the recertification, Mr. Arjun Ranga, Managing Director, Cycle Pure Agarbathies said, “Sustainable development is a way of life at NRRS.Through our association with Carbon Consulting Company we have managed to offset our carbon footprint to near zero. The Green House Gas (GHG) assessment for NRRS was carried out in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol – Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard. Commonly known as a ‘Carbon Footprint’, the assessment took into account data on fuel consumption, electricity consumption as well as Indirect emissions associated from purchased electricity and other sources including business travel, employee commuting, and third party deliveries were used to formulate the carbon footprint of the company.The carbon offset was carried out through Carbon Consulting’s partners in the UK in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol. This ensured that the entire process is internationally recognized and goes through a credible verification process.
