NAVAL ARMAMENT INSPECTORATE PUNE CELEBRATES KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS

Pune, July 26, 2019 : Kargil Vijay Diwas, named after the successful Operation Vijay, is celebrated in India on 26 July every year to show respect and gratitude to the brave servicemen of the armed forces who laid down their lives to re-capture all positions that had been seized by Pakistan Army.

Naval Armament Inspectorate, Pune, the only unit of Indian Navy at Pune,  organised a Cyclothon to honour the Kargil War heroes and all the armed forces personnel who laid their lives for our beloved country. The event was flagged off by the Chief Inspector of Naval Armament from Naval Armament Inspectorate (Pune). The participants included Naval Service Officers and Defence Civilians who made this event memorable by cycling for 14 kms with great fervour and zeal  which rekindled the spirit of Kargil Vijay Diwas amongst people of Pune. The major landmarks which were covered were Collectors Office, Zilla Parishad and Commissioners office.
