Operation Dhanush on Central Railway
Central Railway conducted “Operation Dhanush” on 26.10.2019 in all 5 divisions against touts involved in e-ticketing.
The drive yielded arrest of 23 agents with seizure of 287 live tickets valued Rs.9,43,725/- and 1008 journey performed tickets worth Rs.2118097/-. Arrested touts were produced in the concerned Magistrate Courts and remanded to judicial custody.
All the live tickets will be blocked and subsequently cancelled by IRCTC on receipt of advice from RPF. The operation was aimed to control touts on e -ticketing in view of Diwali rush of passengers to their native places. Public are warned not to buy tickets from touts involved in online ticketing. It is also informed that such passengers cannot perform journey as well as loss their money if tickets are blocked on account of legal action.CR will continue such raids to end touts.
