Panasonic CorporationSuccessfully Transforms Its Global Indirect Procurementwith TCS ERP on Cloud
TOKYO | MUMBAI, December 6, 2017: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, today announced that Panasonic Corporation, global leaders in electronics and white goods manufacture, headquartered in Kadoma, Osaka, Japan, has successfully transformed its global indirect procurement function using TCS’ ERP on Cloud solution.
The ERP on Cloud platform, along with TCS’ business process operations, enables Panasonic to enhance process compliance and standardize business processes for group companies across multiple geographies throughout the Asian region. The solution avails Panasonic real time visibility into their indirect sourcing and procurement processes, andhas helped them to both raise processs quality and achive significant savings through steady adoption ofa standardized procurement platform.
In order to enhance corporate compliance for their global indirect–procurement function Panasonic embarked on a business transformation journey inearly 2015. The objectives of this endeavor are to enhance Panasonic’s procurement compliance and improve transparency by standardizing indirect procurement processes across some 130+ sales and manufacturing sites located in more than 10 countries in the Asian region. The program deployment has been excecuted seamlessly across geographical boundaries, accommodating the needs of stakeholders from multiple cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
