Pune, June 21 : The Pune unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught a police sub inspector from Talegaon Dabhade MIDC police station under Pune rural police for allegedly accepting bribe from a man for not registering robbery case against him.
The accused PSI Ganesh Sheshrao Shinde had allegedly demanded an Apple Iphone 6s from the complainant and after negotiations he agreed to accept Apple Iphone 5s.
A case has been registered against the PSI with Talegaon Dabhade MIDC police station for offences under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Superintendent of Police (ACB-Pune range) Shirish Sardeshpande has appealed citizens to approach the ACB if any public servant demands bribe.
