Preventive action against 167 criminals in Pimpri Chinchwad

Pimpri – In the backdrop of the upcoming civic elections, the Pune city police had taken preventive action against 167 criminals in Pimri-Chinchwad area. The municipal corporation elections are scheduled for February 21.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone III) Ganesh Shinde said that till December 2016, 30 criminals were externed from the district while 25 others are on the radar.

The jurisdiction of Zone-3 consists of nine police stations namely Pimpri, Chinchwad, Nigdi, Bhosari, MIDC, Chaturshringi, Sangvi, Wakad and Hinjewadi.
