Problems in the path of Honorarium increment of Anganwadi worker, helpers will be thrown out in current session of legislature : Pankaja Munde

Mumbai,22.June.19: The state’s Rural Development and Women and Child Development Minister Pankaja Munde has promised to the Anganwadi workers association that the problems in the way of honorarium increment of Anganwadi workers, helpers and Mini Anganwadi workers in the state will be sort out in the current session of the legislative assembly. She is trying to get the increment released by Prime Minister’s release as soon as possible.

A delegation from Maharashtra State Anganwadi Workers Association met Pankaja Munde at her residence ‘Royalstone’, yesterday.  The office bearers of the association put their demands like increment in honorarium, the financial provision for retirement, the time limit on work.

Minister Pankaja Munde promised that she would strive hard to give justice to Anganwadi workers.

She further stated that most of the anganwadi workers, helpers are in low income group. They are unable to save money for the future as they get very less money. Therefore, the government is positive about providing financial support for the cost of medical treatment and their livelihood during old age.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an increment of Rs 1500 for Anganwadi workers, 750 rupees for helpers and Rs 1,250 for mini-anganwadi workers. State Government is trying to get this increment as early as possible.

President of Anganwadi Workers Association, Maya Parmeshwar, Yuvraj Baisane, Ramkrishna Patil, Shubhangi Palshetkar were present on the occasion.
