Pune airport showcased in World Routes 2019 at Adelaide, Australia

New Delhi, 22 nd September, 2019 : Airports Authority of India, the sole provider of air navigation services and responsible for management of airports across the country is participating in the 25 th World Route Development Forum –World Routes 2019 at Adelaide in Australia.

The India Pavilion jointly representing Airports Authority of India and Mumbai International Airport at this global event was formally inaugurated today by Smt, Usha Padhee, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India in presence of Shri I.N. Murthy, Member (Operations), AAI; Shri Kaushik Bhattacharjee, Airport Director, NSCBI Airport, Kolkata; Shri Ajay Kumar Bhardwaj, Airport Director, Pune; Shri J B Singh, GM (CC), AAI and Shri Ajay Kumar Verma, DGM (Operations), AAI.

AAI’s stall at World Routes 2019 will showcase its various technologies and initiatives like GPS-aided Geo-Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) & Skyrev360 and exhibit the milestones achieved by AAI in various facets of Indian Civil Aviation Sector. Apart from this, AAI will also market vast potential of AAI`s International Airports like Chennai International Airport, NSCBI Airport, Kolkata; Pune International Airport on this global platform for future destinations. During the event, AAI delegation will meet with airlines and other global authorities and will present business cases that will influence the establishment of new air services and grow existing routes to India.

World Routes is the global meeting place for every airline, airport and aviation stakeholder. The event being organised from 21 st – 24 th September 2019 presents an unrivalled platform for route development professionals to discuss, develop and plan network strategy on a global scale.

Over three concentrated business days, 3,000 delegates representing airlines, airports and tourism authorities will take part in over 13,000 face-to-face meetings to discuss new and existing air services. The event is focused around the development of the world’s air services and it provides a unique opportunity for a destination to showcase its airport, its city and its country to the air service decision-makers of the world.
