Pune rural police arrests 96 businessmen for gambling in Khandala

Lonavala : Sleuths from the Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Pune rural police on Saturday midnight swooped down on Hillscape Hotel in Khandala and arrested 96 businessmen who were engaged in gambling. A total of Rs 16.93 lakhs cash and gambling materials have been seized.

Police officials said that businessmen from Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Mumbai and Gujarat had reached the hotel for gambling. They were playing Teen Paani game in teams comprising 9-10 members. Like that there were 10 groups.

After getting tip-off, the police raided the hotel around midnight and arrested the businessmen.
