The second edition of live chat show ‘PuneWaali’ to be moderated by author Sudha Menon

Pune, April 19, 2018: Is it difficult for a female actor to break stereotypes in the film industry? Is breaking into the art market to become an art promoter a challenge? This weekend Punekars will get a chance to listen to award-winning actor Sai Tamhankar and art promoter Lisa Pingale, founder, Mona Lisa Kalagram, both of who will talk about their journeys in a tete-a-tete with author Sudha Menon. The duo will be guests at the second edition of PuneWaali, a chat show that is being anchored by Menon for SheThePeople.TV, on Saturday, April 21, at The Flours Works, Salunkhe Vihar road at 6 pm.

Pune Waali, the monthly live chat will celebrate the lives, achievements and journeys of women who can motivate and inspire other women. The chat show has been launched by SheThePeopleTv, the country’s biggest digital platform for telling the stories of women and touches some 15 million women every month through online and offline platforms that allow them to meet, discuss, network, support and catalyze their individual growth efforts. SheThePeople.TV also has similar chat shows celebrating the lives of women in Bombay and Bangalore, among others. The first edition of show featured Natarang actor Sonalee Kulkarni and popular Radio Jockey, RJ Shonali.

Menon, the author of 4 non-fiction books including the latest, Devi, Diva or She-Devil, said that as a teenager she watched actor and chat show hostess Simi Garewal’s Rendezvous with Simi and would dream of someday having her own chat show. “I never dreamt that some thirty-five years later I would be hosting a chat show and that too on a platform such as SheThePeople.Tv that is positively impacting the lives of millions of women every month.”

“For me Punewaali is an extension and continuation of my fascination with the journeys of women, their trials, tribulations and their refusal to be defeated by innumerable roadblocks,” affirmed Menon, who is also the founder of Writing with Women, a unique writing workshop which brings women from diverse backgrounds together to share their experiences through writing.

The entry to the event is free for all. However, pre-registration is needed.
