Rev. Dada J.P, Vaswani’s books a big attraction at  Abu Dhabi Book Fair

25 May 2019, Pune : In an age when business is often done remotely, book professionals still believe that Bookfairs have not lost their relevance. On the contrary, deals done in Bookfairs gain in terms of quality, the human dimension and exposure of these exchanges become a life-time trust.

Gita Publishing House (GPH) was one amongst 1000 exhibitors that participated at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) held last month. The ADIBF has been flourishing and that is because Abu Dhabi offers the best access to industry professionals and key market players in the Middle East and North Africa. Indian representatives were thrilled to be Guest of Honour at the ADIBF and it had the biggest pavilion in this year’s event. A roster of hand-picked performers showcased classical music, traditional dances and Punjabi folk songs.

His Excellency, Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance visited the Indian Pavilion, GPH booth himself and selected the book titled ‘Positive Power of Thanksgiving’ written by renowned and spiritual author, Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani.The Ambassador of India for UAE, Mr. Navdeep Suri was gifted with the centenary and latest book ‘Alphabets of Good Life’, true treasure filled with profound wisdom in Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani’s (Dada ji) writings. There was an overwhelming response from local as well as Indian customers who flocked at the GPH booth and picked books for themselves. This was glittered by the local libraries who also purchased Dadaji’s books in order to spread His great wisdom further and forever.

In recent years, buying and selling rights has become the most dynamic activity of Bookfairs. The Publishers from Jordan and Egypt were very keen and took up Rev. Dada’s several books to translate in Arabic language. They visited the Bookshop numerous times as they had a variety of practical books which they could choose from to get them translated, thanks to the Managing Director, GPH, Ms. Gulshan Dudani who propelled rights deals towards its completion. A local customer shared his experience on Facebook as GPH being the most vibrant team at the Bookfair. Seeing the team’s enthusiasm and dedication, he got pulled towards the writing of Rev. Dada’s one book titled ‘Why Do Good People Suffer’.

In all the book fair was a grand success. The next big stop for GPH is Frankfurt Book Fair, Germany.
